Delete branch "%!s()"
Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
In the post-upgrade clean up docs, also frequently used when someone interrupts an update or some other dnf/rpm/dependency issue, I've just realized that the following no longer works in dnf5:
sudo dnf remove --duplicates
I realize this is not the place to request dnf5 features, I'll look into that separately, but for now a replacement for this command is really needed. We (support) refer to this document and use this very command frequently. 41->42 coming up soon will be the first time this command will be unavailable for post-upgrade cleanup so I had not personally noticed this until now.
I offhand do not know what to suggest here, but someone probably needs to ask the dnf5 folks what the best replacement for this is at this time and see if a feature request needs to be logged to more directly replace it.
Thanks.
I logged this bug with the dnf5 folks so that hopefully both sides can work towards a replacement command or script or such for removing duplicates. https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2351369
