Getting started with Fedora looks out of place. Isn't Workstation a correct place to be in?

I think it's meant to be edition agnostic---it kind of explains the broader high level view. However, I don't see a lot of useful information in there at the moment. The bits on Gnome apps etc. are not relevant there (and perhaps out of date too). So that section certainly needs to be removed.

Is there value in having a page that explains "Linux" and "root" and so on?

So, the page can either be removed, or it needs some heavy re-doing.

@pboy I don't recall this getting started guide was in Quick Docs before. Is there any reason this article was back to life? The articles in QD should be edition agnostic as @ankursinha noted. Thanks in advance.

Yes, I think it kind of out of place here. Some parts could be moved to the general Fedora introduction. I add it to my todo.

Hi, Peter thanks for your heads-up. I hope you are dong well.
Refer to the discussion around Quick Docs.

We might want to revise the title of the article to add introductory paragraphs to what Quick Docs is about in more details such as;

  • Scope and definition
  • Process/step improvements
  • Removal of tangential/irrelevant information ( Scope of Q/D )
  • New Quick Docs !

as suggested by two active Ask Fedora contributors: @hamrheadcorvette @ilikelinux
